"Coming Home"
|
| We do things the old fashioned way here on our place beside the Blanco River. We avoid chemical fertilizers and pesticides. Our animals provide
us with composted manure for our garden, pecan and fruit orchards, and our coastal Bermuda pastures. They are also effective for weed and brush control. The goats and sheep are bred naturally in the pasture. We
believe this holistic approach to farming contributes to healthier animals, builds fertility into the soil, and helps make our work easier and more satisfying. Our goal, as stewards of Raincrow Farm, is to leave an improved,
more productive place to our children.
Please call ahead if you would like to come for a visit. We enjoy showing off our animals. Angie likes to demonstrate how she spins her sheep's wool into yarn
and weaves beautiful rugs and saddle blankets in her studio.
